When I struggle to vocalize the way I feel about something, I try like hell to get a good photo out of it. Seeing it laid out on camera normally helps me to get my thoughts together enough to explain these feelings better.

Dinner is Served
Politics is always a touchy subject and I’m not familiar with too many “common grounds” that any groups can come to regarding the topic. One that I think is pretty undeniable though, is the obvious and pervasive level of corruption that we are starting to see more and more often. I can’t speak for things back in the day, but modern politicians seem able to do little more than make noise about the issues, while making careers out of promises to make changes. The elites in Washington feed off these issues every election cycle, every guest spot on the news and every social media post. Yet when any opportunity to address possible changes arises, they are all shoulders and shrugs. Bills die on the floor, dollar bills line their pockets, and our bills pile up.
Photos make great videos, as it turns out
Gotta tell ya. I’m outright sick of the trend of pushing short form vertical video. But occasionally I’ll jump on the bandwagon when the idea is good enough, and who doesn’t need more George Carlin in their life?

A Climate Change Story
Every day we further injure the planet, is another day closer to our own ends.
It's the execution of us all, but we are pulling the trigger.
Love wins
I can’t remember a time where there wasn’t a stigma against homosexuality in the public world. Thankfully the recent years things are only becoming more accepting and its a beautiful thing to see. Regardless, some of the most disgusting members of the human race will never cease to show us the depths of their depravity using poorly made signs with copious amounts of hate speech. Unfortunately, for members of the LGBTQ+ community, seeing those signs is an ugly reminder that the world still has some accepting left to do. But the perseverance of the community will hold strong, because the fuel it uses won’t be running out any time soon.
Blood and Foundations
The last several years haven’t exactly been the best example of race relations in this country. I noticed that the people who were complaining generally about athletes kneeling for the National Anthem, seemed to have a disconnect that I don’t know how to effectively point out.
It’s hard to tell someone their actions or words are racist without inciting severe anger, and once someone has gotten angry, the chances of a reasonable debate are gone. The American flag flies above a foundation that was built by slaves, and is bloodied by the injustices that still permeate the systems we all depend on today. To top it off, to have white people telling them to stand for that flag or lose their job is just yet another injustice to add to a long list.
Artificial Colors
One of the worst things about social media is the shaping of young women’s minds that it is now responsible for.
Before they even have the chance to learn who they are or who they want to be, they are inundated with unavoidable trends, impossible beauty standards and the worst examples of mental health role models that can be imagined.
This leads into an adulthood of self dissatisfaction, depression and anxiety that invades every aspect of their lives. But they are still expected to put a happy face on and show the vibrance of their lives every day, while the only color they get to keep behind the scenes is orange.
Infallible
Yes. The fire is real, and yes it is a Bible.
Shock value for the sake of shock value is not at all the intention here. Religion is the basis of a lot of horrible behavior nowadays, and while I know that the majority of religious people and services are of high moral value and necessity, the issues in the world that religion “justifies” through misinterpretations and cherry pickings of the Bible are inexcusable.
When someone arguing using the latter is backed into a corner, they often use the first amendment’s guarantee of freedom of religion as the groundwork for believing that their religion is infallible.
The first amendment proves that isn’t true, and makes this image possible.
Speak no peace
Increasingly, I am seeing some ugly responses to poc’s calling for basic human rights and justice for their peers. Too often are the actions of a few, poisoning peaceful demonstrations and souring the message that black Americans are trying to voice.
Black history is relegated to being taught only over the course of the shortest month of the year. Juneteenth become a federal holiday, and was subsequently banned from being taught in schools in several states.
It seems that America is all for free speech, until the hard truths start getting told.
